Car Finance Explained

Hire Purchase (HP)

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)
This option is ideal for those who like to change their car every few years but don’t want to pay a large sum upfront each time. You’ll usually be asked to pay a deposit followed by monthly payments. At the end of the agreed period (for example, three years), you’ll have the choice to pay the remaining balance, return the vehicle, or use any residual value towards your next car.
Personal Leasing (Contract Hire)
Contract Hire works similarly to PCP, except you won’t have the option to buy the car at the end of the agreement. It’s a great solution for those who prefer to drive a new car every few years without the commitment of ownership.
